Beulah Pipkin Papers, 1924-1985

The Beulah Pipkin papers include clippings, correspondence, and memorabilia. The clippings, dated from 1924 to 1985, concern Florida State University (FSU) history and include some from the Polk County Quarterly. Among the correspondence are letters from Ella Bisbee to Pipkin regarding a fifty year reunion class biography book and letter from FSU to Pipkin. The majority of the correspondence is from the 1970s. Included in the memorabilia is a citation from FSU and a letter from the director of the Alumni Association to Beulah Pipkin dated October 1969.

The Florida State University (FSU) Alumni Association Seminole Club Out of State Newsletters consist of publications produced on behalf of various out of state alumni associations by the FSU Alumni Association. Largely covering news about FSU's athletic programs, the collection includes newsletters of the Seminole Club of New York City, the FSU Seminole Club of the Delaware Valley, the Houston Area Seminole Club, and the Southern California/Nevada Alumni Association. In addition to football news, the publications cover such topics as club meetings, receptions and other events; messages from club presidents; memberships; alumni surveys; and FSU Homecoming.

The Florida State University Historical Photograph Collection is a large and diverse array of visual materials ranging from the late-19th to the 21st century. Formats represented include black and white and color photographic prints; 35mm, 120mm, and 4x5 acetate negatives; and other various kinds of small photographic ephemera including postcards, leaflets, and promotional materials. The bulk of this collection was produced by an official Florida State University entity or department with the express purpose of publication, dissemination, or otherwise public-facing service for the University. The majority of photographs pertain to specific academic departments, student clubs and activities, athletics organizations, and faculty and staff. The collection mostly covers the 20th century, encompassing the formation and existence of Florida State College for Women (FSCW, 1905 - 1947) to the creation and growth of Florida State University (1947 – Present). There are also some materials related to West Florida Seminary (1884-1901) and Florida State College (1901-1905). Date ranges for specific folders have been provided where appropriate and applicable.
