The collection of Alvin Dinsmore White consists of three letters and a V-mail written by Army officer Jim White of the 42nd "Rainbow" Infantry Division during World War II.  Also, in the collection is a news article and email describing his two other family members' actions during the war. Fort Benning, Georgia, and Rotenberg, Austria are the two discernible locations where Jim wrote his letters.

Henry Loewenthal papers, 1944-1945, bulk 1945

Henry Loewenthal served in the U.S. Army with the 645th Battalion, 45th Division, II Army Corps, 7th Army, in the North African, Mediterranean, and European (ETO) Theaters. This collection consists of a 77-page manuscript written in 1995 entitled "World War II - A Soldier Remembers" by Loewenthal on his experiences during the war. The memoir begins with his memories as a Jewish American Serviceman at the beginning of the war in Europe and continues through V-J Day.

Herbert Frederick Rothschild papers, 1944-1945, bulk 1945

This collection relates to Herbert Frederick Rothschild who served as an infantryman in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater (ETO) in the 7th Army (which also included the French 1st Army). Rothschild's service also included the 103rd Infantry Division, 411th Infantry Regiment.  The collection contains a manuscript written by Rothschild. The manuscript consists of letters sent by the author to his family, daily military morning reports at the company level, "The Story of the 103rd Infantry Division -- Report After Action," sketches made by the author in Europe, photographs taken by the author and others in his outfit, military documents, excerpts from military magazines such as Yank and Stars and Stripes,  related articles selected from history books, military reference books, and military history maps.

Jane Borg papers, 1940-1973

This collection contains two oral histories; one with Dr. Philip Gilman, Jr. and one with James Izumizaki. It also includes the reprint of a letter by Pvt. Lavern Borg, Jr. written on April 2, 1945. The letter tells about his experiences with the 5th Marine Division of the U.S. Marine Corp in the battle of Iwo Jima. The next document includes a service record and medallist dated June 1967, January 1969, and August 1973. A pamphlet collected by the Pajaro Valley Arts Council, California entitled Nihen Bunka Japanese Culture: One hundred years in Pajaro Valley is also in the collection.

This collection relates to Robert S. McClelland who served as U.S. Navy liaison with the 7th U.S. Army during World War II. The materials in the Robert S. McClelland collection consist of eleven original photographs covering the liberation of a German concentration camp, a crematorium, photographs of the German town of Gmünd, and a photocopy of Robert S. McClelland's U.S. Naval record. The items in the collection include badges, buttons, an armband, a silver spoon, and haberdashery all relating to different Nazi party groups such as the Deutscher Volkssturm Wehrmacht, the National Socialist People's Welfare, the Women's Reicharbeitdienst and the Nazi party in general.

Wallace Reichelt papers, 1942-1945, bulk 1944

The collection of Wallace W. Reichelt contains an oral history transcript of an interview provided by the Reichelt Program for Oral History. The collection also contains a copy of "The Army and Navy Musician" Vol. 19, No. 5 (August - September 1945) and a scrapbook of photographs, documents, and ephemera, including postcards. There are over 450 black-and-white photographs from 1942 to 1945. These photographs relate to Reichelt's wartime experiences on the U.S. mainland and in Europe.
