Florida State College for Women Alumnae Association Award of Honor Programs, 1936-1937

The Florida State College for Women Alumnae Association Award of Honor programs document the first and second ceremonies conferring this award on May 23, 1936 and May 27, 1937. The programs contain pictures of the award, a description of its history and purpose, the speech given by each guest speaker, and a list of the award recipients for each year with brief biographical sketches. Each program was part of a published series (for 1936, it was the Florida State College for Women Bulletin, Vol. XXIX, No. 4, Part 1; for 1937 it was the Florida State College for Women Bulletin, Vol. XXX, December, 1937, No. 4).

Published in 1915 by the Willis Music Company, Cincinnati, Ohio. It is noted on the item that the song was "Published for the College by the Class of 1918."

The collection contains correspondence, administrative and subject files, and printed materials relating to Mr. Carlucci's political activities. Few personal items are included. Subject files provide detailed information on highly publicized and controversial Jacksonville, Florida issues (Offshore Power Systems, etc.) and prominent local individuals; extensive documentation on the site selection of the University of North Florida; and insights into the Hans Tanzler mayoral era of Jacksonville politics and government. The Carlucci Papers complement related collections on Jacksonville's government consolidation during the same time period: Richard A. Martin Papers; Homer H. Contains both holograph and typescripts of Beck's work, Under the Bombs: The German Home Front, 1942-1945. The papers also include a couple of maps, a 1987 essay exam, articles and newsclippings, research notes on various subjects, and many publications by others. This last area is especially strong in works by German authors including a handful by Schonemann. Collection includes MSS 92-21.
